Doing ditch work on Sue, I found myself crouching a lot trying to see behind the machine head and I kept hearing Derryl telling me what he thought! :) So last weekend, with my husband's help, we raised Lolah to new heights... one more notch which equals almost 4 inches higher. I'm anxious to see how much easier it will be.
A few days ago while doing dishes, I spotted the UPS delivery man drop this box off at the door! Always exciting to see a parcel!
I ordered the Gammill micro-fill handles to help with fine detail work... they would've come in handy working on Sue! I managed though but for much finer work, these will be much better.
Here you see where the light and handles plate had to be removed in order to slide the micro handle plate behind it.
And here are the handles in place:
I think I'll get a lot of use out of these!
Lolah is now taller and dressed for success!
Toodles!
Lorette
Interesting! I guess the accessories for each type of machine are so varied. I am thinking those new steering balls will be so comfortable when stitching! And funny, I was looking at my machine and thinking I should lower the bed but decided maybe I would just wear shoes when I quilt! lol
ReplyDeleteI had hoped to get to try it out this week but that didn't happen. I ended up folding lots of fabric though which was enlightening! I can always return it to the original height if I find it uncomfortable.
DeleteI am in the midst of installing my handles. I got the acrylic plate off, the bolts loosened, but now my handles won't line up with the holes. I had to walk away for a few days as I felt like I was going to break something. The little tighteners on the end keep running into the led lights and won't let me lift is high enough to line up with the bolt holes. How did you get this to work? Do you have a picture of this area? I don't see how the acrylic light cover is going to fit back on. amanda.echler@hotmail.com
